00:04I'm called over the Regards Get to Mean, my name is City Council. From Monday December 2nd 2024
00:11Two booklets and two personal passes we have none three claims list
00:38Parker.
00:41Five, we need to crash the center outside of organization update and discussion as Kelsey Sam was
00:53My name is Kelsea I'm an executive director
00:56Of The Community Crisis Center
00:58And if you're not familiar with us
01:00We serve those impacted by domestic violence sexual assault
01:02In stalking
01:03We provide services in Ottawa, Delaware and Craig
01:07But we're headquartered here on Ottawa County
01:09So Here In My Emma
01:1124 Bed Shelter
01:13Two transitional two bedroom apartments
01:16And then our main office which serves all clients from Ottawa county
01:19And an exciting update
01:21That Oklahoma Attorney General Office come out today
01:24They are going to comeback
01:25We're going to be a very serious injury
01:28But we are really close
01:30Beginning our human trafficking certification
01:33There's only three providers in the entire state that
01:36Are certified none of them or rural
01:40And there has not been an agency come on and ten years
01:43So, were excited about this
01:467 individuals with humans
01:49And we're going to be able
01:54To give us a $25,000 utility waiver for our shelter
01:57Which is extremely appreciative of
02:00Last year
02:03We were the highest serving rural
02:06In any entire state about Oklahoma
02:09For domestic violence victims
02:10We would cost our e-multiply that by
02:13219 people, food and insurance utilities
02:17Our services are very broad
02:20And I'd be happy to answer any questions you have
02:22That we provide advocacy court services
02:25Counciling, legal support one families
02:28Or leaving the shelter
02:31Anything specific if they want to know?
02:34It's probably over 25.000
02:38Serve a lot of feed
02:39And what's the head count that comes through your facility
02:42All year in basis?
02:44It depends for shelter
02:47Specifically, we house about 220 to 250
02:49Last year
02:51We serve 933 individuals between our three counties
02:53We served more people non-residentially
02:56Which means they come into an office
02:59They get court services advocacy
03:02But shelters are longer need
03:05Our average days of 53 days
03:09Last year, Oklahoma was number 2 in the nation
03:12For women that were murdered by man they know
03:14And Ottawa County
03:16Was three times a state average
03:18Ford domestic violence related homicides
03:20So we're seeing really big need
03:22In our numbers seem to be increasing every year
03:27Do you guys allow pets and your crisis in?
03:30We do not have an onsite kennel
03:33It's a goal of ours
03:35But
03:36We have an outside kennel and a few pop-up
03:39But we partner with something called the red roger grant
03:42So, were able to pay for board animals
03:45That grant so will take someone immediately
03:48When they come in just
03:50They don't know how far about pets when their leaving
03:52And then it'll get them signed up
03:54For that program
03:56Then use different facilities and down
03:58I'm going there to report them
03:59But 48% of people won't leave the situation
04:04Because they're longer and get whatever
04:06They don' want to leave animal there
04:08So it's important that
04:10Provide debt kind service
04:14It is one less thing for a person
04:16To worry about when leaving a domestic violence situation
04:18Sorry, I asked you on purpose
04:22Do we have any other questions?
04:24Is anything else
04:27We can do as a city to assist you
04:29We've been wanting to talk about it
04:31I don't know if that's even possible
04:33But at the shelter we're on a lift station
04:35And with amount of people
04:37That are house there, its really difficult
04:39Because they were having repair very frequently
04:41What was told when came in is
04:43The reason why had this has to be used
04:45They use railroad tracks behind
04:47Not anymore
04:49So i'm not sure whether there will have any security
04:52If you spend thousands and dollars
04:55Every few years preparing
04:56People that come through
04:58So if thats possibility we'd like to chat more about it
05:04We'll have people look into
05:06I'm assuming being a step as you know
05:10Or kind of protective over the railroad tracks
05:13It's just something i don't want
05:17Like he said because they grab these shoes
05:20That is why there are foursmen and maybe we can see
05:22Why do some issues with your forceman
05:24Maybe help us get bigger for spain or something
05:27You dont' need repairs
05:30Yeah we would love that
05:33Other than I think just making sure
05:35That city employees are aware of our services
05:38We learned this last year
05:40We did a community-wide need assessment
05:42And the majority people came to
05:44Our services and told them about us
05:46So it wasn't brochures or finding
05:49But someone was an ABER, co worker
05:51Someone from church but somebody said hey i care about you
05:54Or want me there's some help
05:55So thats just really important us
05:57Beyond anything else is that people know we're here
05:59That our services are 24-7
06:01Or one of the few service
06:03They have been over to your old building
06:05And its part in a heater twice
06:07I appreciate it
06:09We've had an 100 year old two story house
06:11And many of you i said probably seen on B Street next to the child
06:16Because he sent her a black and white building
06:19That's our new office
06:22We're doubling out square footage
06:25Were really unagreathed because we have been in the community
06:28But it turned into a house
06:31So today, so that is what I want
06:34To be able
06:35To be able to do a service and then adding the human trafficking services
06:39But, The Attorney General's office was out today
06:41So we have
06:43We need them that just as our services are safe
06:45And accessible all of things they
06:48They approved it so
06:52Were good start moving into tomorrow
06:56Yes
06:58Look at I know she wasn't moving because
07:03Not only us moved yet but given
07:05We have a lot of furniture to put together
07:09Brian has been out helping
07:11So if you want us to send anyone our way this week we would appreciate it
07:16I thank all use Naked, moved
07:18Nokeda came in and they helped with the
07:20P things during his come-out
07:22And he had few individuals
07:24But were able through grant
07:26To purchase new buildings which is really exciting
07:29Lots people are still needing some help
07:33Thank You guys
07:38Well, thank you and thanks for having us
07:42And further grant
07:45Thank You
07:47In the board this many crisis
07:49There will be a first of some more outside organizations
07:53We'll have come present
07:57As much as season you know start
07:59Thanks
08:01Naked
08:11This is kind
08:13With MCFA and what it does is
08:16It allows us to
08:18So advertising for the MCFA
08:21And get a commission such as school board panels
08:25Banners
08:27Approtizing on School Board
08:36In sweet school, my public schools
08:38Anyo also has same agreement with MCF
08:53We're just improving every event
08:55I'll make a motion
09:14Hi
09:50I'm going to show you
09:53The two ramps that they had
09:57Trucks
09:59So this is really between Bob Howard
10:02And superior right now
10:04Bob Howard came in at 41-299
10:09We couldn't get them
10:11To quote the upfit
10:16Or still waiting
10:19Then
10:20We came in at 37-488
10:23And they had a 10,000 roughly
10:26$500 upfit charge
10:29Vance
10:31Came into it
10:33203 994 for an upfit
10:37Which would have put them
10:4060 thousand plus
10:44So we feel like the last year's model
10:47I guess this is the last night
10:50That
10:52Superior's going to hold those two
10:55You can't find these 23s
10:57Mark and prices like you could a while back
11:00So anyway
11:02We want
11:04This for police department
11:08And
11:10The banks
11:12They came in at 4.98
11:15Our vastet 5-115
11:18First national 48
11:21And bank of brand like 467
11:25We recommend purchasing the Dodd Ram truck
11:28With The Upfit from Superior Auto Group
11:30To our future approval
11:35Talking to these trucks going on patrol
11:39You can talk and you address
11:41Like, do we know about how
11:44How are they?
11:54They're junk
12:14There's a person who is not only from your place
12:18Those are the two models that you've looking at
12:21The American Dishners in Durand, they should be
13:04That would have been an important
13:13Trust me
13:15Well we just sent one to
13:18To their industry
13:20And they're going to be a $100,000
13:22Right now if you buy any vehicle for 48.00
13:24Because it's not really the one
13:26That we are all cheap by one of them right
13:28So how do have anything concerned with
13:30A new viability
13:32Of truck versus like as small SUV or mid-sized SUV
13:50Yeah
14:04Service and beers in the road
14:07I mean clear
14:09Having things inside their vehicles
14:12Or just anything messy
14:14Nobody else wants such that
14:15They're going to be a bit of the truck
14:17And then they go in the road
14:25So these fold up
14:34Four cages or half-cages
14:39I'll make your motion approved
14:48Hi
14:55A purchase
14:57To 2023 Dodge Ram Truck with Mercy equipment
14:59Uplet from Skrere Auto Group
15:01Waterleast Park's Greenwich Group
15:04Banking Grand Lake
15:06Q24902
15:10233 Dodge Ram
15:12Q24902
15:14So the same thing
15:16This one is
15:18The same except this one came in at $44 higher
15:21Approximately and it was just a touch
15:23Different on-the trim level
15:25That's all I'm proud
15:29Motion approved
15:32Second
15:35Thank you
15:37I
15:40Part of the parker
15:41Center Court logo design
15:44The new Civic Centre Jam floor
15:46All right, what I've got to know that we are getting a new
15:50Jam floor and the Civic centre
15:53And why not done actually just internally
15:55Through together some logos
15:57We'll have a center of support
15:59Bring them up
16:01To you guys
16:04To one hour level
16:08So our kind off with five different options
16:10You've got option A, B and C D
16:13And the equal turn real quick
16:15Option A is your regular
16:18City logo
16:20Option b's a little bit similar
16:24But take to bottom out in that add centre
16:30We have an oval
16:34Last two options is basically
16:40I just stood together with my computer
16:43My office
16:50I'm done these together
16:52To bring this up
17:09That's not even a low option
17:14I've got to have those black lines on there
17:26Not an even the well-coption
17:28That's what we're going
17:30To be in here but
17:33There won't been that
17:35You see it go over the logo
17:37Go actually come around and stop
17:39And start back like this
17:48This one right now is just a little bit of a sewer
17:54It looks pretty heavy
17:55And the logo that we put in
17:59To be 12 by 18
18:03Can there lines, B blue and so black
18:12There's white line for
18:15The actual bit
18:40We got some time
18:42You can start it
18:46I don't think you'll see
18:48I'm going to call back first
18:50Where is some action
18:52Change this logo
18:59Isn' t not a quick
19:03I just don't like the car
19:08Can you change that?
19:10No, we're talking about it
19:12We talked a bit
19:14You probably thought something would have to budget for an extra pay
19:17Could've said put this logo on
19:19Right
19:21Can there be some back later
19:23And not do these right now
19:26Yeah so if going get installed at court now
19:29Then basically come back in
19:31Same thing all down
19:32I don't know if you can put the logo on
19:43You want to change
20:04We have something out there
20:12And we'd got it right now
20:19So,
20:21The changes in logos are separate issues
20:23Yeah
20:25It's a separate issue
20:27Something else besides
20:33Oh that sounds like your things
20:37Some things
20:38You can change the logo for
20:41It had to be that
20:43Hey, this one though
20:45But you're not saying it
20:47If we changed a little bit
20:49Yeah
20:51We were getting in
20:53Yep
20:57I understand now
20:59Maybe something would budget
21:07For next year
21:09Is there any way
21:11To get rid of all words
21:12I just would piss him right now
21:14Yeah, it seems a little wardy
21:16And kind of what
21:19You're the lines and stuff
21:21But
21:24It's something
21:26Because
21:30Sorry
21:32The city is different than the schools
21:34Right
21:45There are still called dog them
21:52It also has a bank
21:54How old school
21:55I played there
21:58Where are my own players?
22:00A chair of their
22:02Before it was a dog
22:04Nothing totally different
22:06There got suspended for school
22:08And now you know why i kicked him off
22:10My butt
22:13So could your guys maybe bring this back
22:15Maybe some options
22:17Just the M
22:19Yeah, or something
22:21Then if we decide to go
22:23Go back and change
22:26Yeah
22:29We're going to be a person
22:31Be
22:34That was when I was gravitating towards him
22:39Because i came
22:43If we did it's really not gonna
22:46Maybe that big deal of change because you are getting sent out
22:48The spot anyway for the new level
22:50Right
22:52You can put this on your nail
22:55When rebrand, then we have two same process
22:58We're still gonna have to go
23:01Yeah, and for this it'll be set
23:03No natural
23:05Yeah
23:11I'm going on a stand, no
23:13So my suggestion will
23:15Be to the DTV
23:17Well i mean
23:19Honestly
23:21Not just crazy about any of them
23:25Option B would being
23:27Am not obsessed with anything
23:30Which is why I suggest you may come back
23:34I think we can make it anywhere from 12
23:37But see the band wasn't 12
23:40So what kind of time for you guys on to have a decision
23:49We're all going back and get prepared
23:51The next council meeting, too
23:54You got some bruises
23:56That three looks out
24:00Yes
24:02Yeah
24:06On your one
24:07We still have time on the logo
24:10Yeah, they're gonna put floor and put it low
24:12So we can read you something that
24:15Okay
24:18You want to start with any process of action
24:20What do I bring about them?
24:27Need
24:30Go back in the drawing board
24:32Any suggestions for your happy C girls
24:37And i'll point at this
24:51Tann's mayor is nomination
24:53To re-appoint ceremony
24:54I'll see you me
24:57Turn to expire
25:031121 of 27
25:09Motion 2 approved
25:1411
25:16Mayor's appointing Gary Crow
25:1911127
25:22Second
25:26E-STAT
25:29Hi
25:32Well, if other new business committee would suggest
25:34That's a good thing
25:43We have the sales tax committee
25:46And then we also had
25:48The PCAX collection
25:51So I'm as everyone knows, you know
25:53G or D A recently raised R rates
25:55Our city analysis
25:57They're going through that kind of come up with some different ideas
26:00Then were kinda gonna go back and forth with him
26:02I would think maybe our rating increase may be contingent upon
26:05Slight ratings increased
26:06And then once the PCAX falls off
26:09Then we would do this second part or whatever
26:12Less than below
26:14So, that shows
26:18We've updated today to about five months
26:22I think it's shows
26:245.29
26:30About four and a half-to5 month
26:34Which should be good
26:36It'll get about 4 1a
26:38On on the sheet of 650029
26:40But we updated it since the pack and together
26:44Because you know every week
26:47We had a cycle coming in
26:51Did I understand what i was saying that like on our rating increase
26:53And make sure to do small ratings increasing
26:55Back due of two part increased or something
26:57Before so, he can busts into
27:00The boat for this set of sons
27:05So if
27:08If they just makes sure
27:11Explain
27:14It's an idea
27:15I agree with you but explain to them why we're doing that
27:19Less than below
27:21And, and when people understand what they were doing
27:24Because i know there are probably way for this
27:27But
27:29You ride a less low because
27:31We have the use of it
27:34To make sure their wire or water, water
27:37In an Alex house all recently
27:40Updated their rates
27:43Because of the rating increase
27:46As I do, they're going to say
27:48They can't provide it
27:50We just said he's pointing what is happening
27:52And we need you to get through
27:54But there are some things that don´t know where to sit
27:57Yeah i think but in my comparison together right now
28:00It was a whole new present
28:02Cause for me im mean its hard at the beginning
28:05So this year has already been around
28:3514 Mayor council community announcements
28:41I like to just say i appreciate all the effort
28:45That's going on downtown with Christmas and all
28:48Businesses that are participating it seems
28:50It gets bigger in better every year
28:52And you drive some of those
28:54So, appreciate your efforts too
28:57Look at me.
28:59You do 2 but thats what we need
29:01Now because
29:03We're down there
29:05Inetall time
29:07Thankyou
29:10Last week when was one of
29:12So what these are today
29:15One of the first walls
29:17Oh really?
29:19Yeah, i have 3 green ones up
29:22And blue one that like to thank our electric crew for
29:24That
29:27I think it's cool a few years ago we made a commitment
29:30To better down town Christmas
29:33We're seeing in effect
29:35Well then working together
29:37Thankyou 2 bless
29:39This has been an advocate
29:40I hope we have been doing business in my amine
29:43Bringing new businesses to my amos
29:45Yeah i do appreciate your effort
29:47And going and giving you a lot of downtown
29:49To be future businesses
29:51Don't think there's any other mayors
29:53Of what they are doing that
29:55So
30:00We're watching the Grinch at The Coleman
30:03Hope if anyone has did it was great time
30:07We loved this
30:09Make sure guys look out for different events
30:11I'm really happy to come in
30:14This whole month
30:18It's just kind of impact with all the goodies
30:21How should i have them discounted over there right now?
30:25Thank you for that.
30:27So Christmas parade is Saturday, tree lighting
30:34Friday, holiday home tour
30:37Sunday so a packed weekend this week and stuff
30:40But thankyou
30:42To all of our crews
30:45I don't want to leave anybody out
30:47It's a crew buffer and team effort
30:49We're seeing people from different departments
30:51Downtown decorating
30:53In decorating the tree
30:55And hanging lights
30:57Everybody is on board
30:59And i greatly appreciate it
31:01Of getting tons messages
31:04From people saying they love downtown
31:07They live down through
31:09The Christmas spirit that people get
31:12Translate to our small businesses
31:15And of course, thats translate
31:17To us and ourselves tax revenue
31:20We can do more things for the People There's Been There Dollars here
31:23So
31:25That is all driven by city staff
31:28Greatly appreciate everything everybody does
31:31I know we get credit sometimes
31:33For your work
31:35Without you guys, our jobs will be a lot difficult
31:37So thank you for all of us
31:40You guys do
31:43It doesn't go on notice by us
31:45We know what's your got to known
31:47And we greatly appreciate that
31:50Keep up the good work and it is noticed
31:54The community spirit
31:57Is getting there
31:59This thing, so I'll get out
32:01But people are starting
32:03Getting more in their start and see the effects
32:05Now they're tree
32:06We're going to keep getting the tree because it's cool deal
32:10And I even had people from other areas
32:13Messaging me saying they wish
32:15They add a tree like ours and decorations
32:19You are always gonna have those that
32:22Never happy with anything
32:24The cavepeople
32:26So we will always only have them
32:28But appreciate everything you guys do
32:4015 city manager communication
32:41We're all about their mayors
32:43It's been working hard
32:45So we actually have a post for Christmas
32:47For the week and so
32:49All of this is really cool with our different times
32:52As you can see, it has to be like, hey what time does
32:55This?
32:57You know I mean I'm busy on that tree line
32:59To holiday home too
33:01The multi presentation
33:03That second thing
33:05Now we are going talk
33:07About two buildings
33:08The whole folks building in the buffer zone
33:11Before
33:13Just for clarity, that's
33:15Hold our mark full to buildings
33:18Not
33:20Yes
33:22So we've actually
33:24Recently had some interest
33:26Do I have an retirement home downtown?
33:29You're welcome
33:32We recently got
33:34Interesting those buildings
33:35As it is, so I've just asked
33:38You were interested to submit
33:40To us an offer and writing
33:42And then we present the board
33:44So you know those different ideas
33:46Then what came up with that?
33:49We're listening anything
33:51That's why
33:53Yeah
33:55The last folks on the net
33:57They kind of updated everybody
33:59On
34:00So we've reached out to four different five
34:03Companies that do this all over the world
34:05We have some really good conversations with them
34:07They asked us
34:09To pull inventory so they can better get a
34:11More cost effective price for design
34:13Actually in process of doing
34:15Pulling our inventory, I'm going
34:17Do you think about it today at lunch?
34:19Just as if
34:21Can be given a better designs
34:24For those who want to go into the first place
34:26And we'll put it out for a bit
34:28For the actual design
34:30We talked to vendor last week
34:32Every utility that has
34:34Electric utilities done this
34:36They've been in part of its very successful
34:38Because they have those poles
34:40So our thought would be
34:42How do people roll first year
34:45To get their community engaged
34:47On or utility float
34:49Derek is actually going
34:51Something he kind
34:53He gets the excitement stirred up
34:54It's kind of a play on home alone
34:57These are both easier for it
34:59They get the excitement
35:03For those projects and everything
35:05We go to dress up this little thing
35:09Guys in one
35:14Do you still sell us these?
35:16No
35:19What do y'know, what did he say when we see him around that
35:22I'll be so mad
35:25She is going ask me to handcuff things
35:27He says your attention
35:28He's like a
35:34I'll think of the floor
35:42So that would be good
35:44Maybe get some stuff clear up and kind everything
35:46To find out what he is going to do
35:49Like it
36:00Most two jurors
36:02Say it
36:06Hi
36:08Hi

I'm called over the Regards Get to Mean, my name is City Council. From Monday December 2nd 2024 Two booklets and two personal passes we have none three claims list Parker. Five, we need to crash the center outside of organization update and discussion as Kelsey Sam was My name is Kelsea I'm an executive director Of The Community Crisis Center And if you're not familiar with us We serve those impacted by domestic violence sexual assault In stalking We provide services in Ottawa, Delaware and Craig But we're headquartered here on Ottawa County So Here In My Emma 24 Bed Shelter Two transitional two bedroom apartments And then our main office which serves all clients from Ottawa county And an exciting update That Oklahoma Attorney General Office come out today They are going to comeback We're going to be a very serious injury But we are really close Beginning our human trafficking certification There's only three providers in the entire state that Are certified none of them or rural And there has not been an agency come on and ten years So, were excited about this 7 individuals with humans And we're going to be able To give us a $25,000 utility waiver for our shelter Which is extremely appreciative of Last year We were the highest serving rural In any entire state about Oklahoma For domestic violence victims We would cost our e-multiply that by 219 people, food and insurance utilities Our services are very broad And I'd be happy to answer any questions you have That we provide advocacy court services Counciling, legal support one families Or leaving the shelter Anything specific if they want to know? It's probably over 25.000 Serve a lot of feed And what's the head count that comes through your facility All year in basis? It depends for shelter Specifically, we house about 220 to 250 Last year We serve 933 individuals between our three counties We served more people non-residentially Which means they come into an office They get court services advocacy But shelters are longer need Our average days of 53 days Last year, Oklahoma was number 2 in the nation For women that were murdered by man they know And Ottawa County Was three times a state average Ford domestic violence related homicides So we're seeing really big need In our numbers seem to be increasing every year Do you guys allow pets and your crisis in? We do not have an onsite kennel It's a goal of ours But We have an outside kennel and a few pop-up But we partner with something called the red roger grant So, were able to pay for board animals That grant so will take someone immediately When they come in just They don't know how far about pets when their leaving And then it'll get them signed up For that program Then use different facilities and down I'm going there to report them But 48% of people won't leave the situation Because they're longer and get whatever They don' want to leave animal there So it's important that Provide debt kind service It is one less thing for a person To worry about when leaving a domestic violence situation Sorry, I asked you on purpose Do we have any other questions? Is anything else We can do as a city to assist you We've been wanting to talk about it I don't know if that's even possible But at the shelter we're on a lift station And with amount of people That are house there, its really difficult Because they were having repair very frequently What was told when came in is The reason why had this has to be used They use railroad tracks behind Not anymore So i'm not sure whether there will have any security If you spend thousands and dollars Every few years preparing People that come through So if thats possibility we'd like to chat more about it We'll have people look into I'm assuming being a step as you know Or kind of protective over the railroad tracks It's just something i don't want Like he said because they grab these shoes That is why there are foursmen and maybe we can see Why do some issues with your forceman Maybe help us get bigger for spain or something You dont' need repairs Yeah we would love that Other than I think just making sure That city employees are aware of our services We learned this last year We did a community-wide need assessment And the majority people came to Our services and told them about us So it wasn't brochures or finding But someone was an ABER, co worker Someone from church but somebody said hey i care about you Or want me there's some help So thats just really important us Beyond anything else is that people know we're here That our services are 24-7 Or one of the few service They have been over to your old building And its part in a heater twice I appreciate it We've had an 100 year old two story house And many of you i said probably seen on B Street next to the child Because he sent her a black and white building That's our new office We're doubling out square footage Were really unagreathed because we have been in the community But it turned into a house So today, so that is what
