02:32Council?
02:34What I bring for you today is step number two in our project
02:40movement working on a couple years now
02:42it's with land plan
02:43design professional
02:44And what this
02:45Is the feasibility report
02:47instead
02:49We're going to do along
02:50The Project that we present
02:51To You guys last year
02:52We spent almost 25 thousand dollars
02:53Last Year coming up
02:54With A Concept
02:55Initial Design
02:56Of
02:57Water Park Future
02:58In
02:59As we know that the cool down here
03:01The report is
03:02Days are numbered
03:03And potentially with a
03:04One-floor condamative
03:05and We're starting to look
03:06To
03:07Look
03:08Future on what
03:09Can Do
03:10Two
03:11To do forward
03:12With
03:13A Water Park
03:16What this feasibility study's going
03:17Is it gonna
03:18Look at Markin analysis
03:19For
03:20Demographic which
03:21It was potential
03:22Users
03:23Facility Trends
03:24That demand
03:25So
03:26Its Gonna Review
03:27Forcash Usage of the
03:29Facility that we're looking at
03:31Competition
03:32You know
03:33The facility
03:34It's gonna
03:35Resort
03:36Existing
03:38Quatic Trashes in
03:39One thing
03:40We also have to keep
03:41And Consideration
03:42In this area
03:43Side Analysis
03:44Locations
03:45That were
03:46Water Park
03:48Looking
03:49Size and Layout
03:50Have
03:51We shot for
03:52The Moon
03:54Can
03:54Do anything with
03:55To shrink it down
03:57Make something
03:57Feasible for
03:59We're looking at
04:01Corresponding and Land Use
04:04You know,
04:05Sight to Where
04:06Looking As Over Here
04:07I'll be J. Tunnel with a
04:08Current Flash
04:09At Is
04:11Um
04:12we've talked
04:12To DQ
04:14And
04:15Were
04:16Lookin'
04:17That
04:18Things
04:19What
04:20We can do that
04:22Hopefully this is something
04:24A
04:28We Can
04:29of that area and what this would do there.
04:33Financial feasibility is a big one,
04:36the capital cost
04:37so time lines in probable construction costs
04:40at their project operational assessments
04:44to operate as they make it go with
04:49like these occupants he expectations
04:54you know if something we think
04:55or whether data databases
04:58will look
04:59like economic and social impact.
05:05What, what could we do with the
05:08With a water park-like this?
05:11So you got to look at
05:13The Impact in Community
05:14Postsville Benefits
05:15of Risk
05:16Of Having This
05:17You know
05:17To try
05:18And I said shoot for
05:19the moon
05:20In price or way out
05:21But people can't even come
05:23into it
05:26That's just
05:27A few things that
05:27These studies are going
05:28Give us
05:29Things
05:30We're looking
05:30At
05:31Total cost
05:32Is whole project
05:33For
05:33It is
05:33This step
05:3424th
05:34980 dollars
05:36This is a key to show
05:39Is this something that was
05:42Pugeted?
05:43Yes
05:44Thank you
05:44Thanks
05:44Just kidding
05:45I asked
05:45That
05:47Trying
05:48My

05:53Hi
05:55Hello
05:55John
05:56Hi
05:57Harco
05:57Hi
05:58Hi
05:59Thanks
06:00Perfect
06:00So
06:02I know
06:03A report from
06:03My Mobile
06:03Glover
06:04Okay
06:04Here's the
06:09Council
06:09thank
06:10You
06:10Um
06:11i'm here
06:11to share
06:12What
06:12The City of Miami
06:13Has been able
06:14Provide
06:15Two
06:16Community
06:16Through
06:17my
06:17Public
06:17Light
06:17Right
06:18so
06:20One
06:21Of
06:21staff members this morning told me about one of our community members that needed to apply
06:25for a job. The challenge was, is he didn't have his smartphone and any type
06:30in computer were internet-toe applied the dot jobs? He's able
06:34go into their library because what city has been
06:38provided you can use it as an Internet computer
06:41and staff resource ability would be applying
06:43on your own. That just won if many stories
06:46that creates a picture for all of these numbers.
06:51Lastly, your budget was less than 40 thousand
06:54and we made it into over $1 million savings
06:58from our community so imagine every single book
07:01Every single resource
07:03That someone is checking out how much would
07:05have cost them to purchase themselves
07:07This Is huge if they can use
07:09It For other things
07:12So grants usually
07:14Grants are not something you could
07:15use on existing
07:18things like staffing
07:21or maybe current programming
07:23This is something that would be new
07:25And so even with our budget limitations
07:28Grants donations sponsors have provided a variety of different types
07:32Of programing for community
07:33Grants do require
07:35A significant workload
07:37from researching and applying
07:40For the grant, continue to
07:42All-theway through into this final reporting process
07:45It does take a lot of our staff members to make that happen
07:48Some not so much but some
07:49But it takes every single position
07:51To Make That Happen
07:53And for program snapshot
07:56You see, in the majority
08:01Have been able
08:02Provided by sponsors donations
08:05As well as grants
08:07This is an huge thing because
08:08Our programming
08:09Is limited
08:10We're so thankful
08:11For connections and those
08:12Wanting
08:13Help Make That Happen
08:16So, income
08:17The library
08:18We're not made to make revenue
08:20But we have finally
08:21Made it
08:22Where were above or pre-COVID year
08:24Which is a huge hurrah
08:26What you are also doing
08:28Is trying To Create A New Revenue Source
08:30And so
08:31You Are actually working on private become
08:32E facility
08:33Passport Facility
08:35that has already been approved
08:36There was just waiting
08:37On the final pieces
08:39Actually
08:39Make It Out
08:40So
08:41As soon as
08:41We actually have a start
08:42They Don't That
08:43Let me make sure to share it with you
08:44So, Imagination Library
08:46You know we started
08:47Back in March of 2020
08:483
08:49The Actually Have Over
08:50800 Children
08:51And World In This Program Now
08:53and
08:54I'm so thankful for
08:55the Friends Of
08:56A library To Be
08:57able
08:57Make this Happen
08:58He
08:59And
08:59Just Reminder For Everyone
09:01Imagination
09:02Library is where
09:02Child From
09:04Births
09:04After their 5th birthday
09:05Can
09:06Actually Receive
09:06Book Every Single Month
09:08Until that
09:08Fifth
09:084
09:09Free
09:10And They Just Have
09:11For The Out of Accounting
09:12No Limitations
09:13Next is our Excel High School
09:15Program
09:16So that started
09:17Actually in 2022
09:18As a pilot program
09:20and then
09:21That Fall
09:21We were able to apply
09:22for
09:22A Grant
09:23we received 10 seats
09:25Add
09:25Received
09:26Funding for Technology
09:27as well
09:28Is Four
09:28Staffing
09:29Fines
09:30so
09:31You actually
09:32have
09:32Receive
09:32Approval
09:33To Use Some
09:33Of Our
09:34Meaning Grand Pins
09:354
09:355
09:36More Seats
09:36For Exit
09:37High School
09:38So we have 10
09:39That Are Actually Waiting
09:40And so
09:41We Have a Very Strict Application Process
09:43If
09:43Were Going to Be Starting
09:44that Hopefully in the next couple of weeks
09:47Something else going on
09:48Is Coming Of
09:49Real Soon
09:49As Our Teen Life
09:50Fair
09:51This is Huge
09:52The Helps
09:52Create Support
09:53Um
09:54You Want To Support
09:54our Teeth From
09:55How
09:55Oh
09:56Also
09:56I want
09:57Help Get Them Connected
09:58To Community
09:58as they
09:59you know
10:00Grow into adults
10:01They
10:01Want them
10:02To be Prepared
10:032
10:06Two
10:07A
10:07Big
10:07Pages
10:08are
10:09Our
10:09Vitals
10:09So I think of our
10:11Murrell that's in
10:12Our Children's
10:12Area at the
10:13Library
10:13The Librarians
10:14Bring
10:14To Unity and Community
10:15That
10:16We're
10:17Two
10:17These
10:17Pages
10:17Come into
10:18Play
10:18so
10:18Job Opportunities
10:19This is for
10:20All
10:20About
10:21A
10:21Counting
10:21And
10:22Where
10:23Can we
10:23Actually Find
10:24a Place
10:24to where
10:24You can
10:25Apply For
10:25Jobs
10:26All In One
10:26Go
10:26Instead
10:26Having
10:27Going
10:27Each
10:27Individual
10:28Location
10:28It
10:29Is all
10:29Categorized
10:30Different types
10:31Of Service
10:31Or
10:31different type
10:32Dejons
10:32If you want
10:32Into
10:33And
10:34Were
10:34Always
10:35Updating
10:35At Almost
10:35Every single day
10:36Same
10:37With
10:39All About
10:40ROOPS
10:42Volunteer
10:42Info
10:43Assistance Programs
10:44Again
10:44The List
10:45Continues
10:45DeGro
10:46We
10:46Clean
10:46And
10:47These
10:47Are Two
10:47the Resources
10:48Where
10:48You know
10:49Were
10:49One
10:49Business
10:49To
10:50Business
10:50Is to
10:51Come into town
10:51Or
10:52Running
10:52People
10:52Move
10:52In
10:53these
10:53Of
10:53Resources
10:54I would
10:54Share
10:55Because
10:55That
10:55Way
10:56They
10:56Can
10:56All
10:57that we
10:57Have
10:57A
10:57Beable
10:58For
11:01So
11:01What's
11:01Next
11:02so
11:021
11:03We
11:03Working
11:03On
11:04Our
11:04Outdoor
11:04Project
11:05It
11:05is
11:05Finally
11:05Coming
11:06Around
11:06And
11:07i
11:07Im
11:07So
11:07Thank
11:07for all of the first recent parks we couldn't do without them.
11:10And, All this is paid four by donations so
11:13The concrete has finally been poured our book drop
11:17and a little platform that's already
11:18before as they're waiting on
11:19in final pieces
11:20if getting their books dropped set up
11:22This does not exactly look like
11:24but also
11:26In process trying to purchase
11:28furniture just waiting
11:29For That Appropeio
11:31So it was only happening
11:34Just
11:35that individual who applied for
11:38That job online
11:40We have several other
11:41examples
11:42and I could go on
11:44But, as my staff this morning
11:46Why is the library important?
11:48why does it essential
11:49What we do every day
11:51It's an importance
11:52So one has accessibility to internet
11:54Materials
11:55And digital resources
11:56Its readily available
11:57Having meeting spaces
11:59All of programming
12:00Programming
12:01The way you've been able
12:02To bring
12:02literacy
12:04We're a cooling and warming station
12:06And we are placed for people
12:08Can come together
12:09That can connect with others
12:10I have common interests
12:11Great connections
12:13Thank you
12:14For this opportunity to present
12:16Do You Have Any Questions?
12:17Here's our doing
12:19Great job
12:20Make-in series
12:21Write that out of library
12:22Our librarian is
12:23Amitatively
12:24How percetic
12:25Yes, too
12:26No matter what
12:27It always
12:28Step around
12:29The thing
12:30So right here
12:31Take on the things
12:33We're going to serve
12:34Come right
12:38That's also you
12:39All of us
12:40Bring them up dates
12:41To the library operating
12:42She is
12:44Okay, so I'm just gonna share some
12:45Of that updates
12:46So one
12:47One
12:48On this mission
12:49Vision and Value
12:50we've had
12:51For years
12:52And it has really about digital inclusion
12:53Guessing
12:54It was back in 90s
12:55When they decided
12:56Make-in
12:57This Mission Statement
12:58So
12:59Bringing
13:01To date
13:03To really show
13:04The community
13:06Value's listed
13:07And so we want to be a really transparent
13:08In
13:09Set ourselves
13:10Like have
13:11A Stat
13:12Where We Need To Be
13:13and how
13:14I need it for form
13:15Library operating hours
13:16It is probably one of our biggest things
13:18So typically Monday, Wednesday
13:20Thursday
13:21Were Open from 90
13:22Amitais
13:238pm
13:24Usually
13:25That goes down
13:26After 7
13:27There isn't that reason
13:28For us
13:29Then
13:30For two days in Fridays
13:31They can give us an opportunity
13:32Two
13:33Have Extended Hour
13:34We open 90am to 7pm
13:36Across the board
13:37It also makes it super easy for individuals
13:39To know
13:40Like, okay is that
13:41The late closing
13:42Is not
13:42Not
13:42The Late Closing
13:43Wedding
13:44Next
13:45As we didn't have anything about volunteers
13:46So
13:47And
13:48We added a section
13:49and
13:50Some information
13:51Ablication
13:52Because
13:53You really want
13:54I promote
13:55That
13:56And then
13:57Service
13:58We'll just follow
13:59The
14:00The service animal policy
14:02And some other things is
14:04We're going to increase our
14:05In-or Library
14:06Be
14:07To help cover more of the cost
14:08So from $2
14:093
14:10Then
14:11Next year we'll probably think about
14:12Increasing that
14:14Again
14:15Two
14:17Emplacement
14:18Of Pistach
14:19Some
14:20Of Our Fines are changing
14:21For example
14:22We actually
14:24Changing
14:25Our Threshold
14:26The Block
14:27I record privileges
14:28From 5
14:29To 10
14:30They just have a struggle
14:31Paying it
14:32All at once
14:33Or
14:34I mean there's various reasons why
14:37But this way they can
14:38That is
14:44Just some of the changes
14:46Go on
14:48Any questions?
14:52Thank you
14:55So
14:55To appreciate what
14:56You do
14:58The Late
14:59Showed Action
15:00We need
15:01to be prepared
15:02Of Our
15:04In-or Library
15:05Out
15:06It
15:07Is that
15:08We're
15:09Disgrading
15:10A lie
15:11And make sure
15:12We need to go
15:14Yeah
15:21I'll make a motion for
15:22Second
15:26Hi
15:27Hi
15:28Hi
15:30Nine
15:31Any business of any
15:32What's the resistance
15:32Potion this agenda?
