[00:02] The mayor of the city council for Monday, August 12th 2024. Public input on schedule personal passes 3 claims list
[00:45] We step back.
[00:48] I'm going to start.
[00:50] We want the presentation from my very long build and services trying
[00:54] To do it, thank you Mayor Council
[01:02] Just have a little light reading
[01:04] i'd like go over with tonight
[01:07] One of them taking opportunity
[01:12] Bring up today on some projects we've been working
[01:15] Since adoptive or economic development action plan
[01:18] If remember
[01:19] We've been working on the plan for a long time
[01:22] And we have to do that in our plans
[01:25] In early April and ever since then
[01:28] We had this ground running
[01:30] In addressing some of these issues
[01:33] That were brought up
[01:35] I don't want focus specifically
[01:37] One thing is it was recommended from
[01:39] The plan has started
[01:41] Starting
[01:45] To address
[01:46] We have a meeting
[01:49] The first step we put
[01:51] A committee together,
[01:53] We've got great community
[01:55] And the first task that they will undertake is to
[01:58] Go out for request
[02:00] For qualifications from firms
[02:03] To conduct an updated housing and demographic study
[02:05] From my MIN auto accounting
[02:07] So
[02:09] Working with RFQ
[02:11] We've actually went out today
[02:16] And so we have targeted eight different firms
[02:19] That if conducted these types of studies in Oklahoma
[02:23] Using,
[02:25] To serve a lot of municipalities and local home
[02:27] They're all very forthcoming with information
[02:31] This is what this binder
[02:33] All the information that they provided us along
[02:36] The way
[03:39] This process could cost anywhere from 30 to 40 thousand
[03:44] When it's all said and now we are not asking you
[03:47] To pay forty thousand dollars
[03:49] Not even close
[03:51] We're working with other businesses
[03:53] Other partners, the MAD organization itself
[03:57] I understand that our smaller communities
[04:00] The NIC BOWERS from Farrowins already challenged
[04:03] All of their measures
[04:04] This process
[04:06] So we don't know what the total cost is yet
[04:09] We're just lining up partners at this point
[04:11] And, you begin a process of considering
[04:14] Helping fund
[04:17] This housing study
[04:19] MAD's taking it on its responsibility and ultimately working
[04:21] To pay for that
[04:23] But information will benefit everyone in their community
[04:26] The biggest beneficiary from
[04:28] From today
[05:00] Anyone who needs it, whether its developers
[05:03] Whether is the city of Miami, Farrowin and Kualpa
[05:05] Whoever need that information
[05:07] If you ask for
[05:10] It doesn't do anything good to go through
[05:12] The process has been in
[05:14] To spend money
[05:16] And then have a set on this shelf class
[05:19] Can not help us address
[05:24] We're asking everybody across
[05:27] That's willing
[05:28] To help contribute to that process
[05:31] This data is going
[05:33] It's about our community
[05:35] How many houses we need, but how much do
[05:38] We have each different level
[05:41] And what those price points
[05:43] Need be
[05:46] It will help us in identifying
[05:48] Neighborhood and RIVOTALization programs
[05:50] Help
[05:52] Identifying potential areas
[05:54] To be developed
[05:56] We might look at you, how to
[05:59] Recent workshop
[06:02] You talk about things like tiff districts
[06:04] It's going help us in identifying
[06:06] Some of those areas
[06:08] How the best go
[06:10] About funding
[06:13] Those types
[06:15] It is an exciting time for a new step
[06:18] Steps are different direction
[06:21] We are going to be able
[06:24] To help us in identifying
[06:28] And we will do it with myself and a part-time person
[06:31] Any health you can provide is along the way
[06:34] I appreciate
[06:36] We always appreciate
[06:38] The relationship
[06:40] What's up
[06:42] It has been good partnership for both
[06:44] Right now, I think mayor parker
[06:46] City of Interclimber
[06:48] Hopefully one day we will get to
[06:51] The mega phone
[06:53] To bless and scream from the top of
[06:56] Highest building
[06:58] That's our goal
[07:00] We'll give it there
[07:02] But housing was identified as a critical need
[07:05] Throughout economic development action plan
[07:08] And so, we are jumping in with both feet
[07:10] Get that data
[07:11] That will inspire them to go
[07:14] We'll start building some very immediate homes
[07:18] In our community answer it
[07:25] Thank you
[07:27] Next all I have the station
[07:29] And up goes personal insight
[07:31] How much work do we put into this
[07:33] You write down really proud of yourself
[07:35] Appreciate that
[07:37] A lot
[07:39] I give a lot of respect
[07:42] Because of these great people
[07:44] Of course, there are partners on that committee
[07:46] City manager Tyler Clyde
[07:48] Aaron Clocker from Greg Gateway
[07:50] Service for the community as well
[07:52] Jason Dollar High with a Burea Housing Authority
[07:55] Sean Taylor with Arves Bank
[07:58] Solomon Jones
[08:00] With first star construction
[08:04] I'll give you room and come and call
[08:06] And Kevin Carlton is called to resources
[08:08] That's our housing committee
[08:10] They've been meeting
[08:12] And they've done a lot of work in the very short period
[08:17] That's why we were able to get that RQ out today
[08:21] Less than two months since
[08:23] Thank you all for having me
[08:26] Thank You, Jim
[08:31] I'm sorry for your 24.5
[08:34] In this year
[08:41] It includes the claim
[08:42] To 1,500
[08:44] It would be the first of before quarterly payments that we will show you through
[08:53] Perfect

[10:04] Resolution CC 2020
[10:06] 24 dc5
[10:08] Recognized by the
[10:10] The Bori Drive of Indians
[10:13] So council
[10:17] For a couple
[10:19] Months now
[10:22] Board
[10:24] Of the senior citizens center has been talking with
[10:29] City and about what they're wanting to do
[10:33] With
[10:35] Facility
[10:37] To discuss
[10:41] Other stakeholders
[10:43] And to work out
[10:45] The Bori Drive and your citizens center
[10:50] There's issues
[10:52] Arts to the docs program which is housed in that facility
[10:56] But as of a week ago
[10:59] Friday, we tried
[11:01] To us a resolution
[11:05] Asking us
[11:07] To an essence
[11:19] We have our blessing
[11:22] Discussion
[11:25] If there are some
[11:34] Still some questions
[11:44] So about people to speak on that
[11:48] On the issue
[11:50] That's sure decision but it is certainly your prerogative
[11:55] We don't have a question
[11:58] I think there are representatives from docs
[12:00] They represent us in their citizens center
[12:07] As of today, we want what to say
[12:29] I would like to just address you guys tonight
[12:32] And thank for letting us
[12:34] Addressive UNBJ Munion
[12:36] The Director of Doc Services
[13:09] Director of Doc Services
[13:12] Dr. Rick Teele
[13:14] Help to Lay out the senior center
[13:17] When it was built and developed
[13:20] We will not have a cook site
[13:23] I'm going
[13:25] To say we won't
[13:27] It'll be very difficult for us
[13:31] To get this
[13:33] The Senior Center is an ideal location
[13:35] For Us
[13:36] We have a special location
[13:40] We are going to provide a special location
[13:43] We will be able
[13:46] To take on more counties that were under served
[13:49] So we did
[13:51] Take-on and air, Cherokee
[13:54] And Sequoia County
[13:56] As of July 1
[13:59] We actually doubled in size
[14:01] We have a program and service
[14:04] The Quality of Service that we provide to the seniors
[14:07] Our advocating not only for docs
[14:10] But four, but four
[14:12] This is an auto-a
[14:15] And it does affect Northern Park
[14:18] And with out
[14:20] Without a kitchen
[14:22] There will be over 125 people
[14:25] A day
[14:27] That won't receive a hot meal
[14:31] In the end of our day
[14:34] We will be able to provide a special location
[14:37] To get out and interact
[14:40] But they also need a meal
[14:43] So we ask you, consider that
[14:46] Consider
[14:48] The Long Javity Of Our Program
[14:50] Manage
[14:52] And we have over 30 years
[14:55] That's fully managed
[14:57] Not just in kitchen area
[14:58] We have fully managed that site
[15:01] Through a contract with the city of Grove
[15:04] And we would ideally like to do this here
[15:07] and talk about it
[15:10] New Morris Times for prior two
[15:13] Myself
[15:15] I've been working on three years
[15:17] For 13 years, in the community
[15:20] In City
[15:22] Do you want any questions
[15:25] For me?
[15:29] I think that our senior
[15:31] Our doc service is
[15:33] President, as also here
[15:35] And Is That Allowed for Her To Speak
[15:38] Also
[15:41] For Green Gateway
[15:45] Do you have any questions
[15:47] You said your start of 125 people a day
[15:49] A lot of care canning
[15:51] This auto-a county in the top half
[15:53] Of Craig County and those are just hot meals
[15:55] Not our frozen meals
[15:57] We provide
[15:59] Total
[16:01] We have over total in all three counties
[16:04] Out of this cook site
[16:06] At a district's high, 125
[16:09] Currently
[16:21] That is just hot meals
[16:25] The totals for Hot and Cold
[16:29] Would be around 2.25
[16:34] And that are freezer trucks
[16:36] You see going around
[16:38] It has 1 meal per day
[16:40] And that affects meals on wheels, older Americans
[16:45] In advance of the bank
[17:13] I'm a executive director for Green Gateway
[17:15] We have fun docs directly
[17:19] There has been a push per collaboration
[17:22] Between Title VI and Title III
[17:25] That maybe we could work something out with the tribe
[17:29] Early On
[17:31] Where still hopeful
[17:33] Something in
[17:35] The area could work out
[17:38] What it really boils down to
[17:41] Making sure that those meals are served
[17:44] Make sure there is not a gap in the service
[17:47] Those seniors don't go with these meals
[17:50] For all of them, they're only meal
[17:54] They will be alone
[17:57] Even if you do this
[17:59] It's certainly their own hot meal
[18:01] They really do depend on it's their life line
[18:04] As far as the funding goes
[18:07] We fund docs
[18:11] It doesn't fall back to the city
[18:16] I heard a comment that they were
[18:19] Primarily paid for by visiting in growth
[18:22] But its not set up
[18:24] Their three federal grants
[18:27] And i wouldn' want you
[18:29] To think that if it ever fell under your jurisdiction
[18:35] You would have to put in the bill for
[18:38] They are a stand-alone agency
[18:42] And i was contacted
[18:44] Kind of figure out what
[18:46] The original set up on
[18:49] That building
[18:51] A CDBG grant
[18:53] Originally then applied
[18:55] Or had been owned by city
[18:56] And then the ownership would transfer to
[18:59] The senior citizen's
[19:01] Because seniors couldn't have been able
[19:03] To apply for a CDBG grant on their own
[19:05] Now there could've had an older American
[19:07] That was kicked in
[19:10] There it helped as well
[19:12] But at some point, that
[19:14] It needed over
[19:16] To see your center
[19:20] Long story short
[19:22] I am just advocating on behalf of
[19:23] The people that need their milk served
[19:27] I would like to see
[19:29] Really
[19:31] To the tribe and docs be able
[19:33] Together in a title six
[19:35] And it could have been able
[19:37] Mead & middle
[19:39] And collaborate
[19:41] As i told you all
[19:43] When
[19:45] I took over
[19:48] As we tried to build our connection with
[19:50] Because we have a lot to offer each other
[19:53] And there's so much that
[19:55] We can do together
[19:57] I would really like
[20:00] To see what happens at the end of
[20:02] The day, and how
[20:05] Whatever
[20:07] That is where you need to be
[20:19] On
[20:23] The chairman for the board
[20:25] This organization
[20:27] Is run very smoothly
[20:28] And it's a non-starter for us
[20:31] For anybody else
[20:34] We are not going to be able
[20:37] To see the people who have been
[20:41] I mean, she is just doing
[20:48] In Darlens here also
[20:50] But our main concern
[20:52] Is we own
[20:54] Doxers' owns
[20:56] The kitchen appliances
[20:58] It's a non-starter for us
[21:02] For anybody else to say
[21:04] We can't make any promises we won
[21:07] I have checked with several local people
[21:11] This past week find another building
[21:14] Of course that is going
[21:16] To build out or
[21:18] To lease anything
[21:20] Or maybe constructing a building
[21:23] A stand alone
[21:25] Just the kitchen services
[21:27] It's a house
[21:30] And it is going to take some time
[21:32] So as BJ and Aaron have both said
[21:35] That are concern
[21:38] If we had
[21:40] How long were you gonna go
[21:42] To get out
[21:45] About how far?
[21:49] How many people will be there
[21:51] I think that's not on weekends
[21:53] But in the area
[21:54] We have a house
[21:57] And those women are there
[22:00] Three women were in the building
[22:02] Before 6 o'clock
[22:04] Cooking wheels
[22:07] To be delivered at noon
[22:10] So we're kind of tweeter rock on our fireplace
[22:13] I would love to work with the tribe
[22:17] In their bylals
[22:19] We'll go back to the city of Miami
[22:24] It's stationed in both them
[22:26] So for
[22:28] The senior citizens
[22:30] To give it
[22:32] That pure air tribe
[22:36] You're just kind of thrown us
[22:39] For a loop
[22:41] This is what we are going
[22:43] And everything
[22:45] In our cities help
[22:47] And we appreciate anything you can do for us
[22:50] But I said, We have 125 mils every day
[22:54] Those people that will not get a hot meal
[22:58] So if any consideration
[23:14] If your want to speak on this chair
[23:16] Please
[23:18] Yes
[23:20] What's going
[23:22] To give it new facility
[23:24] For dogs
[23:25] I also believe that process is going to take probably about two years
[23:30] And we have a community of the city and
[23:33] Which i know all half
[23:35] Of course, but
[23:38] That's just gonna be
[23:42] A couple year down in the road
[23:50] We've got bigger and more to do here at the meantime
[23:52] We know that there is a great deal of heartburn on behalf
[23:56] And we've shared
[23:58] That with BJ multiple times
[24:00] I'd say two or three times, maybe twice
[24:04] In in the app
[24:06] What are those rules?
[24:08] Our goals
[24:12] To help and support seniors
[24:15] So it would be an unwritten rule
[24:17] They will never build another building
[24:19] Again they won't have a kitchen
[24:21] Because so much what
[24:24] We find ourselves with the opportunities to support
[24:28] The senior center and level that we're excited
[24:32] But there is an issue
[24:34] With lack of not being access
[24:37] So shared
[24:39] A turning been more
[24:42] And together one half talked about what
[24:45] What would be could
[24:47] If you know this real issues
[24:50] In a box talks
[24:53] About their access
[24:55] Technically it's just 30 day month
[25:30] We have those meetings
[25:34] The habities to do that
[25:36] And so we're excited about the way it's going
[25:38] So, as far away
[25:40] As well
[25:42] There is no interest in seeing 125 builders lose their meals
[25:47] Not just completely off-brand
[25:49] To what they did
[25:51] They talked a total of six and entitled three
[25:53] On our side
[25:55] Of us
[25:57] In order for them to make sure
[25:59] We have the opportunity to do this
[26:02] In order for them
[26:05] To make sure that we are able
[26:08] And then they will be able
[26:11] For us, it's just 30 days
[26:14] Two weeks ago
[26:16] This last year
[26:19] You guys know
[26:21] Got a cattle farm by these
[26:23] We took five of those animals
[26:27] Raised him up
[26:29] Put in an nutrition program
[26:30] It's obvious
[26:33] Anyway, as we know it will take some time
[26:35] To walk this out of the box
[26:38] But frankly right now
[26:40] We have got agreement between two governing councils
[26:42] As a governing board
[26:44] That doesn't always happen
[26:46] Founders are really great partners
[26:49] They go to unanimously
[26:51] The see
[26:53] This partnership
[26:57] Our business committee is tomorrow night
[26:59] Before us just like you guys had one tonight
[27:01] It took us up
[27:03] And it's our elected officials
[27:05] We are excited to see this kind of thing
[27:07] So we know what will take some time
[27:11] When you have the elders
[27:13] They're at a senior center
[27:15] With meals
[27:19] That come through
[27:23] What do they do?
[27:25] The opportunity
[27:28] To represent an opportunity
[27:32] To represent an opportunity
[27:33] To have a great work to cooperate
[27:37] For the more understanding
[27:45] The tribe comes in
[27:47] We will definitely
[27:49] Can't share this face
[27:51] Well we've asked what
[27:53] I'm shared with him
[27:55] A lot of football game on
[27:58] And for ten years
[28:00] On my way
[28:02] But when you talk about it
[28:04] My mind and not
[28:05] To chill in
[28:07] We're going to have those times
[28:09] Together but I know we can't do it in a marble
[28:13] And right now that's what seniors
[28:15] Has access
[28:17] Because of the work they've got
[28:19] They are asking them to change their rules
[28:21] That is why the senior center doesn' t
[28:23] Have access
[28:27] So, thats where there cruxes
[28:29] It isn''t not
[28:31] But you don´re here
[28:33] A tree
[28:34] We have a key work
[28:38] It's our draw
[28:42] That is what draws the line
[28:45] Not this team
[28:47] And like you know
[28:49] Even though we are not available
[28:52] Because it´s your way
[28:55] But that will be time
[28:57] So,
[28:59] As far as I can see
[29:01] We also don't want to change their entire model
[29:04] But we know the equipment is theirs
[29:07] We've already committed
[29:09] The dollars to win it comes time
[29:11] To purchase new equipment for that facility
[29:13] You guys will see in our learning center
[29:15] What's they old campus?
[29:17] Our community centre or country club
[29:21] They are a model of their club house
[29:23] And then learn and all three
[29:25] Those employees start
[29:27] Fill your operational commercial kitchen
[29:29] Exactly what you're looking at
[29:31] We believe when it comes to that
[29:34] But the goal is not
[29:37] To have an iteration of battery
[29:39] On behalf
[29:41] And so, you know there's going
[29:43] That we can't make decisions
[29:45] Because if they don´t access
[29:47] They will be in control
[29:50] So let us talk about somebody brought up
[30:01] The building had come back
[30:05] Let me start
[30:07] What does this look like?
[30:09] The hircles and corporation
[30:13] Of the senior citizens centre
[30:15] As well as by-law or citizen center
[30:21] So that if they dissolve
[30:23] Has a corporation
[30:25] Then all of us,
[30:27] That have to go
[30:29] To see there is another provision
[30:37] But every reason
[30:39] If it doesn't work
[30:43] In this country,
[30:52] We can just last week
[30:55] We got the minutes of
[30:58] The senior citizens centre
[31:00] Where they put it to approve this range
[31:06] To six,
[31:11] It says that emotion was made by the old
[31:14] Designed a resolution
[31:16] If needed for transfer
[31:18] Of
[31:23] A murdering
[31:35] That's not my type of graph
[31:37] But I have to take
[31:57] Pre-seedy murder and
[31:59] You're going
[32:03] Transfer into
[32:05] Transfer to us
[32:07] I am thoroughly confused
[32:10] Both of them are approved by the board
[32:12] As a six-0
[32:33] That´s kind
[32:38] What i figured is that
[32:42] So let's go back
[32:46] When this building was built,
[32:49] The CDBG grant
[32:52] It would have had to be in sponsored
[32:56] By the city
[32:58] So,
[33:01] There is a ten year window of transfer
[33:04] On that
[33:07] I think about this
[33:11] That i believe
[33:15] The construction process started around 1990
[33:18] Probably completed,
[33:20] Fully granted
[33:22] Around 93
[33:25] And
[33:28] The second day
[33:31] I have a meeting
[33:34] To confirm that
[33:36] But i believe
[33:39] That's probably about the time
[33:41] Of course,
[33:44] You would see
[33:46] On your books as well
[33:48] Probably coincides with
[33:53] About
[33:54] The ownership of the building
[33:57] Transvariate into the senior
[34:02] Center
[34:05] We have not met those documents
[34:11] All cities are allowed to get rid
[34:14] Of course,
[34:19] But our financial program
[34:24] Goes back
[34:27] To 2000
[34:49] In 2004
[34:53] To 2002
[34:54] To 2000
[34:57] From 1990
[34:59] In 2004
[35:03] We have found no records
[35:05] So we don't know how much money
[35:08] The city is putting it in
[35:13] And all together with the records
[35:15] That show that
[35:18] We put $718
[35:31] To be put into the program
[35:33] I think that's a lot of credit
[35:34] That's the tax payers
[35:37] Sure, just making sure that you had a debt in there
[35:41] Right
[35:49] I believe
[36:04] The green of
[36:07] The senior center
[36:09] And the peori
[36:11] Is it
[36:15] Just transfer
[36:21] Of the building
[36:23] It is just a transfer
[36:25] Nothing coming back
[36:26] I think it's just a bit of money
[36:29] We put $10
[36:31] But that is the whole corporation
[36:37] So what does that look like from the label
[36:42] Perspective
[36:44] Because at some point this language kicks in
[36:47] That thing has dissolved
[36:49] If they don't have ownership
[36:51] Of building any more
[36:53] It doesn' t need to take over ownership
[37:00] Chain custody with the executive
[37:01] And then to them
[37:03] That's a key to legal discussion
[37:06] I know, but this is the complicated situation
[37:09] So we need make sure that all of our fees and dollars
[37:13] To discuss
[37:15] It would be good
[37:18] How big it will be
[37:20] You have a facility you can do
[37:23] To operate in
[38:54] We had a contract
[38:56] This was set up many years ago
[38:57] This is what Dagmar has talking about
[39:00] With the senior center
[39:02] The seniors in our board
[39:04] Wanted to be able
[39:06] To resell them
[39:08] So they do contract with this and re-sell their own meals
[39:11] Our services, docks
[39:13] We don't charge for
[39:15] Our OAA program
[39:17] We are not charged
[39:29] What's it like
[39:49] We have 350
[39:52] They received a 350
[39:53] We received 350
[39:57] For preparing the meal
[39:59] The food costs and they receive their dollar for
[40:01] They go to
[40:04] So these are for seniors that
[40:06] Not signed up
[40:11] Through those old American's program
[40:14] It is a state law within
[40:36] In this states, consider double-tipping
[40:41] How long did you sign?
[42:10] I don't know
[42:12] Move it right
[42:20] We can't see the number of people
[42:44] So let's say a perfect world
[42:47] Just on this out there
[42:49] It takes two months because you have
[42:51] A place where we could move right in
[43:07] How do they provide meals during that transition?
[44:05] There will be an appearance
[44:07] That is not like the senior in our board
[44:09] I hope it would help me
[44:16] But if he said this, my name was Gager
[44:19] I am asking for President
[44:21] Resign
[44:25] So we took over in January
[44:30] But when the office was
[44:32] The whole of Shabbany
[44:38] Through all this, your center is so low
[44:44] That within that state
[44:48] Some catastrophic thoughts happened
[44:52] We would be totally so
[44:57] Trying to come on up
[44:59] To keep their senior centre open for everybody
[45:04] And
[45:05] Asking first of all because we know there is that clause in there
[45:09] About the city, We are going to see
[45:15] He suggested possibly you give it
[45:17] To their tribe if they would want
[45:19] That's where
[45:24] At least 70 don't
[45:30] So we just figured he was
[45:32] Senior centre needs
[45:34] To go get somebody around
[45:37] It will be close
[45:39] Allwe have money
[45:40] We are going to have a meeting
[45:45] That's in our open for view gain
[45:51] Full overview of carcass
[45:53] And we don't need any program
[45:56] So the conversation was
[46:05] As long as everybody is protected
[46:31] How about what you're trying
[46:54] To do?
[47:14] Where were at
[47:23] The city
[47:25] You had approach
[47:27] I didn t want this
[47:29] She said she says that
[48:01] We were going to be a big deal
[48:04] With people within the city at different times
[48:07] That we would like
[48:25] And I think that there was other
[48:28] Grants it possibly
[48:30] Would have been available for
[48:32] The senior centre
[48:34] To keep their doors open
[48:40] But again, It is of all in terbord
[48:43] How long has got
[48:46] We helped to lay out
[48:49] When when
[48:51] We had a lot of work
[48:55] 30 years
[49:01] My question is not
[49:03] Try to be sarcastic
[49:05] But by any stretch, you may sound that way
[49:09] When it comes out
[49:11] The senior centre and
[49:15] And now we are
[49:18] They have been brought into something
[49:21] You guys just
[49:23] Been the same building
[49:25] Thirty years
[49:27] We get into
[49:53] Someone who has been on their
[49:56] This is what it's made of
[49:59] They've lost all that information
[50:01] And there are no throttles
[50:03] When they're volunteers
[50:05] So I guess
[50:08] Would you like to
[50:10] Recapitate?
[50:12] If when
[50:14] You came in
[50:16] But just
[50:18] Did Bow or anyone
[50:19] Did anyone say
[50:22] Oh hey, the senior centre
[50:24] Dox is talking to us about
[50:26] Managing the seniors
[50:28] No.
[50:31] It's a learning car for students
[50:34] And that would be something you have volunteers
[50:36] You know
[50:42] So because there are
[50:44] The management of questions
[50:47] That slide, my recommend tells
[50:57] Can't we work?
[54:08] I don't know if you're aware
[54:11] But through brain gateway
[54:13] They are grants
[54:15] Specifically for the senior centre
[54:17] Up to $12,000
[54:21] No that's not a huge amount
[54:30] It is 12,000
[54:32] They aren't poor just stay away
[54:35] If they can
[54:37] Or what does our involvement
[54:40] What do we need to even be involved
[54:47] As the city
[54:50] My name
[55:09] My name is Darling Miller
[55:11] And I am employed with doc services
[55:14] But my question
[55:17] Is not in that direction
[55:19] Am amazed
[55:22] That the city like me and
[55:24] The growth we have
[55:27] We're going to be able
[55:29] To say no,
[55:32] Wait a minute
[55:34] What's it sound like?
[55:39] Nobody
[55:40] I mean, we are not
[55:43] Any attention or provide anything
[55:46] For the seniors to go
[55:48] If if
[55:50] The senior centre closes
[55:58] And don't think anybody is saying
[56:00] That's why
[56:11] Because they wanted to remain open
[56:21] But i'm just thinking
[56:23] In any of them
[56:25] They're like,
[56:27] I don't know if everybody is going to
[56:32] Know that
[56:34] The city could be very proud
[56:36] At the senior centre
[56:38] That's run and runs for all
[56:40] Because there are some who
[56:42] Don t go
[56:44] They're not aware
[56:46] Whatever with anything
[56:49] Our tribes have
[56:52] It goes under
[56:54] And i'm not
[56:56] And i can tell you that there's a couple of things
[56:59] There is beautiful facility
[57:01] That
[57:04] You have at the complex
[57:07] Country club used to be
[57:11] I cant use it
[57:13] It all strictly for
[57:15] The tribal members
[57:17] My grandchildren and all our boys
[57:19] Yeah,
[57:25] But theres so much people here
[57:30] It had to be a tribal member
[57:33] And yes, we rented it
[57:35] Absolutely
[57:37] Yeah under my granddaughter's name is
[57:39] Tribalmember but i could not do that
[57:42] That was the personal experience
[57:45] I don't want this turn into
[57:47] To battle your butt
[57:49] We appreciate you
[57:51] Can win
[57:54] You have to understand what my hand has
[57:58] Its struggling right now
[58:00] If i do not want this to come out
[58:03] We don't like each other
[58:05] Who wants us
[58:08] To come up with a resolution
[58:11] There may be people who can make it
[58:14] I'm learning to see that
[58:16] Never is everybody going
[58:19] Everybody happy
[58:21] But if we could try and make most of you happiness
[58:24] Then win
[58:25] I know Chief Harper well
[58:29] That will weigh into my decision
[58:31] Our friendship is either free
[58:33] But we'll make the decisions that
[58:36] We all feel comfortable with and executive
[58:38] And mentally, who can't so
[58:40] Not OG Farble understand
[58:42] Where i'm decisionly like
[58:44] Um...
[58:46] ...and hope everybody else won't do
[58:49] Don t think the senior citizen is what's a question
[58:52] He has committed in front of us
[58:53] It will be open
[58:55] Everybody, six or seven days a week
[58:57] He said it on the record of a ride by
[58:59] The question is to catch in
[59:01] And that's what concerns everybody
[59:04] That s where we'll meet
[59:07] They've already been concerned about senior
[59:09] Seniors he has committed to this
[59:11] So...
[59:14] ...someone you may not
[59:41] But up until last weekend
[59:44] My mother was homebound
[59:46] And in my living room
[59:49] ...and dogs were served her meals
[59:51] So I understand clearly what you're saying
[59:56] My mother passed away last week
[59:58] Had dog showed up to deliver a meal
[60:01] Then i appreciate it
[60:03] What they do
[60:05] Think there's anybody here that doesn't appreciate
[60:07] This is an issue
[60:10] Not sure working building effects
[60:13] To take the truth
[60:14] And you know what i'm not sure
[60:21] There's anybody in this room that doesn't want people to get their meals
[60:24] We just need a free outhouse
[60:26] They're the compromise here
[60:29] That s where we re going come in
[60:32] I think an important thing there remember is
[60:34] She brought it up when she said
[60:36] This couldn t continue so if they let things
[60:38] Continue as was,
[60:40] ...she set her without saying
[60:42] It...this whole building shuts down and then wears dogs
[60:46] So....This had happened
[60:48] One way or another
[60:49] I truly believe there's a compromise here
[60:53] And i believed it was the compromise
[60:55] There is this kind of benefit
[60:59] We all thought we will probably cut that up
[61:02] You guys, who made help sell
[61:07] This man
[61:32] That would be easy
[61:34] So thats what when
[61:37] When you took over
[61:39] ...you talked to them about taking
[61:40] Over at that point
[62:34] It sounds like it wouldn t be
[62:36] Because we use the kitchen for city events
[62:39] That s kind of a problem
[62:42] The catch is, you can keep our work
[62:45] Dox needs to do it
[62:47] And if he takes over the building
[62:49] ...he will build his kitchen there either
[62:51] So thats kinda
[62:53] We know its not one
[62:55] But as when all have delivered
[62:57] So we re going to figure out how it would make work
[63:00] One more question
[63:07] You said you guys have seventy thousand dollars
[63:10] Roughly
[63:12] That is a asset that also be transferred
[63:15] Along with the building
[63:28] ...by and before way they move on
[63:31] To next one
[63:33] Okay, so if your head of this agenda
[63:42] I am in front
[63:44] And proof there are some other action
[64:26] You think about that
[64:29] I would say
[64:32] To have very secorors, no action
[64:36] This is the agenda
[64:38] So we will take a little action along
[64:41] Good morning
[64:44] Jerry, some of you are in Cainman arrangement
[64:47] Plan and GR
[64:49] And we agree with Timblist
[64:53] And so what i got there
[64:56] That was my favourite
[64:58] I am just gonna keep this short and sweet
[65:03] Because y'all know i get real long wind it
[65:05] So lets go ahead
[65:08] Lets take a look at the agreement
[65:16] Let's head back
[65:18] Tell you guys that
[65:20] That,
[65:22] ...I wanted to set up
[65:24] A payment plan for
[65:26] The citizens of Miami
[65:30] To help in
[65:31] Planning a funeral can be burdensome
[65:34] And so when those left behind
[65:36] Don't have the money to carry out your wishes
[65:39] It could already turn this stressful time into something that's unbearable
[65:44] So we want you help
[65:47] Encourage at GR
[65:49] Pre-planning
[65:52] In order
[65:54] To do That,
[65:57] We would offer
[65:59] The citizens of Miami
[66:00] In 12 equal payments
[66:04] For a plot of property
[66:07] We feel that it will really help and broaden
[66:11] You know what we have to offer there at GR
[66:15] So this contract
[66:17] Well, else citizens
[66:19] To select the plot
[66:21] And make twelve equal payment
[66:23] She complete their ownership
[66:26] This contract would be for
[66:28] The plot only
[66:29] The employees will be included
[66:31] Such as the opening and closing
[66:33] Setting fees or mark
[66:36] And
[66:38] That, better we'll not
[66:40] Be allowed to in turn
[66:42] Or intern on set plot
[66:44] Until
[66:46] The agreement is paid in full
[66:49] But by allowing them
[66:52] Breaking this down
[66:54] To 12 monthly payments
[66:58] You can break it down
[66:59] So for a full
[67:02] Internment plot
[67:04] You can break it down to almost sixty
[67:06] So being able
[67:08] To provide that option
[67:10] Two are citizens
[67:12] It's showing our citizens
[67:14] We care about their end of life process
[67:19] And we're going
[67:21] Move forward with them in this tough time
[67:25] There is some fees to set up the program
[67:27] So there would be a hundred twenty five dollar admin
[67:30] To start the contract
[67:32] And if
[67:34] There is any return checks
[67:36] If it's not sufficient
[67:38] But fee of 25 dollars
[67:42] That kind
[67:44] We have set up
[67:48] Today we're coming to you
[67:51] In conclusion
[67:53] We are going
[67:55] To be able to see
[67:58] We are just asking that you
[68:02] Allow us
[68:04] To get started
[68:07] So we know there may
[68:09] Be up
[68:12] But allowing us
[68:15] To start it
[68:17] And helping our citizens
[68:19] Can kind of
[68:21] It will allow us something to at least build on
[68:25] And I think that's an important
[68:28] Do you guys have any questions?
[68:35] Question about default
[68:38] If anything the debtor should not apply
[68:40] Any section of portion
[68:42] Of this agreement, it is considered in default
[68:45] Under such a event
[68:48] We can't help but
[68:50] Empathize and book myself into
[68:53] This situation
[68:55] At time
[68:56] We are going to be a bit of a
[68:59] A little heavy handed
[69:01] If you guess maybe the word
[69:03] Sure
[69:05] So let me explain why we're doing
[69:07] Okay
[69:10] The reason for that is because
[69:12] Because
[69:14] Time out property
[69:16] Getting ready
[69:20] But what I'm getting ready
[69:22] To open up new areas
[69:24] You guys can believe where
[69:25] We are extending
[69:28] The garden apiece
[69:30] To eventually get a new columbarium
[69:34] So we still have the mossy land
[69:36] And place is right along
[69:38] It's always
[69:40] A huge
[69:42] Area because nobody wants to walk
[69:45] All of them back
[69:48] To bury their loved one
[69:50] Since getting ready
[69:51] To be able to get ready
[69:54] And keep it from
[69:56] Less or coming
[69:58] Or from Molly
[70:00] Keeping the tide up for a year
[70:03] You know, you as cash payer
[70:06] Can't come in by that property
[70:08] I mean we feel
[70:12] My concern is
[70:14] It's like at
[70:16] In my term and something happens
[70:18] And I pay 11 months of this
[70:21] Really like my daughter to come in
[70:23] Just clean up the house
[70:25] Absolutely
[70:27] We would definitely
[70:29] Confident that she
[70:32] Right
[70:34] That is not something just because
[70:36] Like a few steps away ten minutes
[70:39] To be the next person
[70:42] In line, detrusted
[70:44] The executor or whatever
[70:46] The next person in line or your husband
[70:48] Or you're wife
[70:53] You would have the option to make those last two payments
[70:55] In order
[70:57] To create what we call ownership at that time
[71:01] It's covered
[71:03] And I emphasize this is a pre-B
[71:18] Right
[71:21] I'll submit to not pay the whole amount
[71:23] Which is when they are in need
[71:26] And that's difficult for some people
[71:30] The reason we have it this way
[71:32] Is once there somebody in
[71:34] Around and makes a lot harder
[71:36] To resist the progress
[71:38] So, so
[71:40] This
[71:42] It helps
[71:46] People do
[71:48] But
[71:53] It's like a set of the other
[71:55] This is going to be learning process for all
[71:57] Of us
[71:59] The system, something that we've had in
[72:02] In this past
[72:04] Something
[72:06] That it kind
[72:08] A vision I came with
[72:10] When i started
[72:12] To reable
[72:14] And exactly what been said as
[72:19] As pre-need basis
[72:21] And instead of offing them
[72:24] At the hardest time in their life
[72:28] To forego
[72:30] Ex amounted dollars
[72:35] So we fully see what kind
[72:50] You still know
[72:59] Is there already doing a great job
[73:01] I'm telling you these are
[73:03] Great
[73:06] Just that one's geared me up
[73:08] Quick question
[73:12] My mom is passed away
[73:13] I'm going to start with a
[73:17] And my mom is
[73:19] She's in the insurance policy
[73:21] So she paid on it for
[73:23] For five years, 50 bucks a month
[73:25] If
[73:28] To pay off
[73:30] Is there
[73:33] A way
[73:35] Do you suffer like that
[73:38] It something we can look into
[73:41] This was just phase one
[73:42] I don't know
[73:44] Everything is tough right now
[73:48] This was just a very first step
[73:50] We can definitely look into
[73:52] It made it a lot easier on me
[73:54] Because she planned everything
[73:56] Right
[73:58] And the time and the task is
[74:00] If this confused pre-planning
[74:03] For funeral home
[74:05] In pre planing with our cemetery
[74:07] So,
[74:09] Our cemetery
[74:10] Plot of land
[74:12] The funeral home
[74:14] Will still be the ones that does
[74:16] All other like this services
[74:19] And, and
[74:21] That's where
[74:23] For a five year program
[74:26] Because
[74:28] That particular amount is about
[74:31] Let us just be honest
[74:33] It almost buying car
[74:35] They can spread out over
[74:37] A 5-year period
[74:38] To where we are offering a 12-month
[74:42] Break it down
[74:44] Our services
[74:46] Obviously, there is less
[74:48] So you're not going to need five years for that
[74:52] If your pay off
[74:56] The difference in the insurance company
[74:59] Is an insurance company
[75:01] New Actuarial studies
[75:04] In terms of how much they are selling
[75:07] Their service will be very complicated
[75:11] There is nobody on staff now
[75:14] To this capable
[75:16] Do make the lowest kinds of studies
[75:19] Our insurance company to figure that out
[75:23] But,
[75:26] That's...that are an insurance-companied in your example
[75:29] Well
[75:31] This one was through Jeff Brown
[75:33] The brown letters
[75:35] And he there
[75:37] Underwriters
[75:39] I guess what i'm asking about
[75:42] Have you ever learned about the funeral cost
[75:45] And the Japanese insurance
[75:49] I think we had that in
[75:51] In my son
[75:53] When he buried him
[75:56] We have to do this
[75:58] The funeral home ended up paying for
[76:00] Lot
[76:02] Everything
[76:05] Thank you
[76:22] You and i talked about it
[76:26] I appreciate it
[76:28] I'll make a motion
[76:31] I'm going
[76:36] Again
[76:41] 15
[76:43] Authorities
[76:45] The City Attorney decided to
[76:47] A total agreement
[76:49] Amending CJ
[76:51] 950641
[76:53] ODEQ
[76:55] First Commission
[76:59] The Council members
[77:02] Back in
[77:05] It also begins
[77:16] Subsequently,
[77:21] I bought out a defendant
[77:24] Got changed in the issue of eventually
[77:28] About they clean up cost
[77:31] The cigarette sucked
[77:33] In 2000
[77:35] Reinsent or
[77:38] Where
[77:41] They dismissed the lawsuit
[77:44] With the opportunity to re-pilot
[77:48] Other entities interested
[77:51] wanted to since then that it was for a three-year extension on the statute of limitations.
[77:59] My agreement has been extended out seven or eight times,
[78:06] four years progress is being made off site and as long
[78:14] And I thought this condition at
[78:15] For they were
[78:18] The plaintiffs which received potentially
[78:21] Is in place
[78:23] Press to read, extending lawsuit against them.
[78:30] They had do it agreed
[78:31] To extend the statute of limitations
[78:33] And they have been making progress on the claim that
[78:35] So this is just an next step
[78:38] Of a benzene bloom
[78:41] Has
[78:42] Been reduced significantly
[78:44] A very astouth
[78:47] An opportunity
[78:49] It's almost out
[78:52] In residential area
[78:53] Maybe I'll completely solid
[78:56] We got another
[78:57] Recus after managed
[79:00] Anyway
[79:03] This
[79:04] To allow that to continue
[79:06] So they will
[79:08] Continue
[79:08] Pay for the clean up
[79:10] And we're still protected
[79:13] It becomes necessary
[79:14] For us
[79:15] All a while
[79:27] Second
[79:32] Hi
[79:32] We step back
[79:34] Okay
[79:35] 16 other new business
[79:37] Any which is written as supposed
[79:39] This agenda
[79:42] 17 staff reports
[79:48] 18
[79:54] I just want
[79:57] Say
[79:59] this council
[80:00] Is interested in
[80:02] The betterment of our community
[80:03] That's didn't
[80:04] The only reason that we serve here
[80:06] We want our town, or citizens to
[80:09] To be in a place where
[80:11] the city government cares
[80:13] And wants us
[80:14] That thrive
[80:16] Blessed it when they say
[80:17] I can't make everybody happy
[80:18] But know
[80:19] When
[80:20] If
[80:21] Donut just consider
[80:22] One side
[80:23] Or another
[80:23] Consider all parties
[80:25] and
[80:27] We signed up for this
[80:28] This is what
[80:29] Get-To do
[80:29] Can
[80:30] Me Do It For Free
[80:30] We do it with a
[80:32] Grandheart because
[80:33] we want our city to be
[80:34] A great place To live
[80:36] And
[80:36] The thing that
[80:38] All interested in
[80:39] Just like the last
[80:40] Several
[80:41] Controversial items
[80:42] That came up
[80:43] Filmed Our Room
[80:45] You're always
[80:46] Interested
[80:46] In Compromise
[80:47] So
[80:48] Thats
[80:48] Its all
[80:55] Um
[80:56] Heritage Fest
[80:58] Was another success
[80:59] Or
[81:00] Fourth One
[81:01] Success

[81:09] She's ready to go
[81:12] Thank you, Archie Jimmy
[81:13] No thanks
[81:16] But
[81:17] Her Dispets was given
[81:17] Ricken Shake
[81:18] On One
[81:19] Hackers Show
[81:19] Sorry
[81:20] I really get it
[81:21] That started people talking about today
[81:22] They're gonna be sure they put them up
[81:24] And
[81:25] Actually
[81:25] Stay飽ed with Comment Deer
[81:27] Or want come back
[81:27] We wanted some Coleman
[81:29] Though
[81:29] Kind of cool
[81:30] See what i'm there
[81:32] Then we can fall that
[81:33] Up
[81:33] Last weekend
[81:34] With The Sidewalks Hill
[81:35] Another huge success
[81:37] Our Downtown's Come Alive
[81:39] There is
[81:40] We're getting the best down there
[81:42] Um
[81:42] Or i talk about a few others
[81:44] If you missed it then are on Main Street
[81:47] Uh
[81:47] That they had
[81:48] Um
[81:48] Please, theres another one
[81:49] Those Counting This Fall
[81:50] You don't want to miss It because
[81:51] Its was A Good Time
[81:52] And
[81:53] So we appreciate All The Air
[81:54] Because Girls Do Down Down
[81:56] But
[81:56] They couldn´t do
[81:57] By herself
[81:58] Got whole team people
[81:59] They have been
[82:00] and
[82:01] Direct
[82:02] Their crews
[82:03] I mean
[82:04] Roverborder
[82:04] Is crew
[82:05] It takes Everybody Here
[82:06] To pull stuff like that off
[82:08] So
[82:08] Good team After By everybody
[82:11] Uh
[82:11] Weekends Worked
[82:12] Tonight's work
[82:13] And
[82:14] But it was good
[82:15] Its going to be a good
[82:16] Our laugh from how we get time
[82:18] About Sousas
[82:20] I got about Sousa
[82:21] There
[82:22] Their Resistance
[82:23] On the House
[82:23] We Got
[82:24] Counting This
[82:25] Yeah
[82:25] That The Mayor
[82:26] Sweet
[82:27] But
[82:27] As A Weekend
[82:28] But
[82:28] Still Made Detailing
[82:31] That's One of them
[82:32] You're Chancing Isn't it?
[82:34] Don´t Tying
[82:34] But we got a lot of stuff going on around town,
[82:39] lots and activities.
[82:40] And our growth hasn't stopped
[82:43] because it's kind enough to talk about this yet
[82:46] so I'm excited that those things are coming down the pipe
[82:49] but then they don' have anything else
[82:53] So will move too for do 19
[82:57] to make it a mitigation?
[82:59] Just ask
[83:00] The citizens get sortle grace right now
[83:01] We've been by low employ numbers in some areas
[83:05] I mean the street farm and we have four
[83:07] right now
[83:08] Parks is what Kevin 3
[83:10] So, um...
[83:12] There are no utilities guys up on a mo
[83:14] We don't need to put it in different apartments
[83:17] within this city which was really good
[83:18] but i'm like you know
[83:19] that's not gonna be an employee out of my field
[83:22] so
[83:22] Um..I just want people who get sortle grace
[83:24] You do your hard at buying
[83:25] Yeah yeah
[83:26] And then
[83:26] If they're having any
[83:28] anything else
[83:29] They'd make them go employ
[83:30] Please help them apply
[83:31] What does
[83:34] That?
[83:35] Alright
[83:35] This might even happen
[83:37] It helps chambers, staff room for processing potential information.
[83:41] Thank you all
