[00:02] The record schedule meeting is a milestone for Monday, July 3, 2023.
[00:08] That's the gift.
[00:09] Let's get the personal experiences.
[00:11] We have none.
[00:12] Three claims.
[00:13] Much to a proof.
[00:16] Yes?
[00:17] He said, hi.
[00:20] Or, for his minutes, at the June 20th, 2023,
[00:23] regular meeting.
[00:24] Motion.
[00:25] Second.
[00:26] Second.
[00:27] He said, hi.
[00:31] In the five, same engagement letter from Crawford and Associates.
[00:34] Motion.
[00:35] Second.
[00:36] Second.
[00:37] Second.
[00:38] Second.
[00:39] Second.
[00:40] Second.
[00:41] Six.
[00:42] If I say manager signature on travelers, authorization
[00:45] to bind coverage for the fiscal year 23, 24.
[00:51] CabEx actually ended with travelers during the 30th.
[00:54] And so in order to keep us moving forward, our city manager had to sign the authorization to bind the coverage.
[01:01] and so what this is for is just to recognize his signature.
[01:07] I don't know if you've had time to look at the BR, the air not, but the total premium of all lines of business will be $810,000, $2,076 a year and the approved budget amount was 877 so it came in a little bit less than what we thought it was going to be.
[01:24] They did send out for bits, for other insurance agencies, or companies for me, just, no, that information is not in here.
[01:34] We gave us part of the results and we just, because of the year that we've had, they just really couldn't get, we had $1.9 million worth of claims this year, so this really wasn't the best year to try to get someone else to write our coverage.
[01:56] We've, they've, travelers has paid $348,000 and then they have a $1.6 million pending in claims.
[02:04] But they did open up for bits.
[02:06] They did open up for bits.
[02:07] They did open up for bits.
[02:08] They did open up for bits.
[02:09] They did open up for bits.
[02:10] They got, and they, really, the only person that they got to, to bid on part of was OMAG.
[02:15] And they wouldn't write all of the lines.
[02:17] They wouldn't only do part of it.
[02:19] So if we would have went with OMAG and then the other lines that we would have had to go with separate, it would have cost us $891,000.
[02:28] So this is a calendar that is our broker today who went out and looked at other coverage to see if there was better through travelers or someone else.
[02:36] And then there's a few of them that they do break out.
[02:38] And that's why they go ahead and quote, OMAG and some others.
[02:41] But they put together what they believe were the best rates we could get.
[02:46] And considering the losses we had this late in the fiscal year, that's probably part of the reason why some of the rate was coming back this late,
[02:55] knowing that we were going to run out of time.
[02:57] But we had big claims that were.
[03:00] depending. And so they had to make sure they understood what all of those losses were going to be.
[03:04] And when they basically addressed with the underwriters to get us a new quote.
[03:08] So we kind of came in just under the wire to get the new quote to get it reviewed and then approved.
[03:14] So that's why it's got a few fires.
[03:16] Yeah, hopefully.
[03:17] You know, there's just, you know, a huge losses.
[03:21] So we just, we had a 308 percent loss ratio this year.
[03:29] So when you're, if you're a business, if you're an underwriters, you use a how much of my
[03:33] bringing in and plenty and premium, how much of my paid out claims.
[03:36] Yeah, they had a 338 percent loss on us this year.
[03:40] You know, over the last five years, we're committed about 101 percent loss ratio.
[03:44] So we're kind of, they're kind of breaking even on us.
[03:46] So glad they're hanging in there with us.
[03:48] So is there any needs to do a direct deeper dive on what some of these issues are?
[03:52] I mean, obviously, we know what started the fires.
[03:55] I mean, we've got a lot of bomb in the past looking at the trend.
[03:58] It feels like maybe corrective actions need to be taken.
[04:01] So what we've actually done is is they have some things they're going to be working with us on that.
[04:06] Gowder has some programs as well as travelers that we're going to be taking advantage of to see if what we can be doing to mitigate our risk.
[04:13] And that may be personal training safety training, things like that, but we agree that we need to be doing everything we can to make sure that we're not.
[04:22] Getting to this loss ratio because we need to have better numbers than this.
[04:27] It's expensive to have a bad loss ratio right here.
[04:31] Your rates are going to go on.
[04:32] So yeah, we've talked about and worked with them and they had lots of great programs that they're going to make it available to us at no cost.
[04:40] It's just obviously what they do.
[04:42] So we've committed, in fact, I had a conversation with Chris about it today and leaving on him as well.
[04:48] Just him in Travis and Kevin to start seeing how we roll this out.
[04:54] A city wide and then kind of doing a deeper dive and making sure that we're protecting our assets and protecting our people.
[05:01] So this thing we have tonight we really don't have a choice.
[05:04] Nope.
[05:05] You're ratifying the signature that we've already put in Mark here.
[05:08] Get it with all this.
[05:09] You have a great work on relationship these guys.
[05:11] You're good.
[05:12] Yep.
[05:13] We have a party.
[05:27] We will be having a party.
[05:31] We will be having a party.
[05:33] Oh thanks.
[05:35] You just bullet.
[05:38] Yeah, the 14th will be his last day.
[05:44] If we don't okay, since boy already signed it, he paid for it.
[05:52] Much to approve.
[05:55] Second.
[05:56] He's dead.
[05:58] Five.
[05:59] Five.
[06:00] Thanks, Jimmy.
[06:01] Seven.
[06:02] Did any new business to the riddles of the posting this agenda?
[06:05] Eight.
[06:07] Mayor Council, committee announcements?
[06:09] For the July tomorrow, everybody be safe.
[06:12] Have fun.
[06:13] Make sure this isn't the last time you see all your 10 fingers.
[06:19] All right.
[06:20] So I'll go a little bit further on that.
[06:21] For the July, I think we'll be serving some hot dogs and water.
[06:24] Stuff like that out there.
[06:25] Yep.
[06:26] So if you want to come help hand that stuff out.
[06:29] I don't have access to the same amenities that had latch to your company.
[06:32] Maybe I can pull some strings.
[06:34] Hopefully.
[06:35] Buffalo and we're done.
[06:36] We'll be out there.
[06:37] It's going to be lots of great family fun activities.
[06:40] We're going to have fans.
[06:43] I think we, this is in collaboration with Peoria Tribe.
[06:48] City provides fireworks and three hot logs.
[06:51] Peoria is providing everything else.
[06:53] Yeah.
[06:54] Amazing job.
[06:55] Great work.
[06:56] Yeah.
[06:57] I'd say the last three years I wasn't well with this.
[06:59] It's been a much better event than it was any year in that part.
[07:03] Just for this year.
[07:05] Yeah.
[07:06] And you hear a lot of people say, I don't go.
[07:08] It's just a buffalo ranch.
[07:09] It's 16.
[07:10] You don't have to go inside.
[07:11] There are things outside.
[07:12] If you don't feel like going inside, you don't have to.
[07:16] So the tribe there does a lot to put into this from their own pockets.
[07:21] Right.
[07:22] There.
[07:24] Chief Harper likes us all the day.
[07:26] And he goes all out for the kids stuff.
[07:29] He does a concert.
[07:30] And he uses us on top of fly over.
[07:32] Yep.
[07:33] They go all out.
[07:34] We appreciate their partnership on this for sure.
[07:36] Food trucks.
[07:37] Yeah.
[07:38] It's going to be going to be great.
[07:40] So the other thing I have is, I went to the Coleman this afternoon.
[07:45] The quappal tribe had a movie they showed called Imagineing the Indian.
[07:50] Wow.
[07:51] That's what a great educational piece.
[07:54] It was basically about schools and colleges and high schools that use for their mascots.
[08:04] You know, the Indians or red skins and how offensive it is to try our tribal partners.
[08:11] And very educational for me, especially.
[08:16] But if you guys get a chance to see it, it takes about an hour and a half.
[08:20] I think it's what the movie was.
[08:21] But well, it was good.
[08:22] It was good.
[08:23] And I think they're going to have another showing in Tulsa.
[08:26] But it'll be public to where you can log on to get some wrong internet.
[08:29] I'm not sure where.
[08:30] But it was good piece.
[08:32] Yeah.
[08:34] You know.
[08:35] Yeah.
[08:36] So you may enter communication.
[08:39] So the transportation.
[08:41] As of this time, it's going to remain closed until further notice.
[08:46] It is closed to the public to the population.
[08:50] We just don't know when we're going to be able to open it up for safety.
[08:52] We're still working with the insurance and the fire suppression company.
[08:56] Try to figure out what we were wrong.
[08:58] But we have to make sure that.
[09:00] It's a safe building before we allow the public to go back into it.
[09:03] And so we've kind of lived a long year,
[09:05] say it'll be next week, or it'll be next week.
[09:08] At this point, we still can get to a clarification
[09:12] of what's wrong with the system.
[09:13] So rather than just keep living along,
[09:15] it's close until we can make sure it's safe.
[09:18] OK, so I would like to ask then that we
[09:21] think of some alternatives for our systems.
[09:25] And so we've been talking about what they would look like.
[09:28] And so we've pulled together some ideas around either putting
[09:32] roll-offs, or they're accessible, but can be monitored.
[09:35] Maybe we have a yard waste disposal day,
[09:42] we can monitor it because, again, we
[09:45] would just open it up and let people bring the yard waste in there,
[09:47] but it gets difficult when they bring it up trash.
[09:50] Right.
[09:50] Because then obviously it's problem.
[09:53] So it'll have to be something that we can finally monitor.
[09:56] But we'll figure out some options.
[09:57] Because we agree we're going to have to do something.
[10:01] Lots of citizens that are getting frustrated
[10:03] because the conversations are having
[10:06] with code enforcement, the code enforcement, as well,
[10:08] where in is working with people, very, very forgiving
[10:13] of what they're timing is going to be.
[10:15] So they know, and they're working with it.
[10:18] So we'll welcome up some solutions to bring it back.
[10:23] The other thing I wanted to bring up,
[10:25] if I can, in my ear, is our dollar-part and imagination library
[10:29] that the program the library's going to do in there,
[10:31] up to 600 kids, and it's a lot of stuff.
[10:34] Great number there.
[10:36] And then Kimby hits it out an email.
[10:40] Do you all regarding me, cracking crab,
[10:43] 2020-3, that's coming up, that'll be August 24th.
[10:47] So check your calendars.
[10:49] We'll see if that's something that you adore
[10:51] your spouses can attend, and I'll get us signed up
[10:55] for the table because it's always good for us to be there
[11:00] and support all of our local businesses when we can.
[11:04] But obviously you have to pay for a table,
[11:07] and it's part of our support.
[11:08] So let me know what your availability is.
[11:11] We'll get, Kimby will get us signed up if you can make it.
[11:18] Come again, adjournment.
[11:19] Motion.
[11:19] Second.
[11:21] Zero vote.
[11:22] He said.
[11:24] Holy cow.
[11:26] 15 minutes.
[11:27] That's the fastest.
[11:28] That's a regular reason.
