[00:00] When we're first, gosh, mom's feeling that.
[00:05] And we'll have the invocation by seeking
[00:08] to the all Episcopal stretch, Ms. K.
[00:15] Let us pray.
[00:18] Almighty God, our heavenly Father, send down upon those
[00:21] who hold office in this city, the spirit of wisdom,
[00:25] charity, and justice, that with steadfast purpose,
[00:30] they may faithfully serve in their office
[00:33] to promote the well-being of all people through Jesus Christ
[00:37] our Lord, Amen.
[01:00] All right, number four, public input
[01:02] or unscheduled personal appearances.
[01:05] Five, action item, consent agenda.
[01:07] Staff recommends we approve out of six and seven.
[01:30] Hi.
[01:31] Number eight, acknowledgement, and a permit.
[01:33] Number WL005-821-0366 for construction.
[01:40] The 5,870 linear feet, the 12 inch HDPE.
[01:46] Yes, or so, this is just the acknowledgement of the permit.
[01:49] We received from DEQ, so it was part of the permit.
[01:51] We get from them, we have to acknowledge, and at the next meeting.
[01:55] So, I'm just excited everybody now.
[01:57] So we don't have to do anything.
[01:58] No, sir.
[01:59] All right, this will be, if this will go down 69A,
[02:02] and it will also come down from Rockdale Road
[02:07] right there, so about the College Farm.
[02:10] Okay.
[02:11] Thank you.
[02:12] Nine, action item.
[02:13] They must write for my plane for Pinsco Project Relicency.
[02:22] So this is with DWT.
[02:25] It's additional bill that we've been working with them
[02:29] on the study plan document.
[02:33] And the initial study report that GRDA has been doing
[02:36] is requested by FERC, which is related to the relicensing.
[02:41] And as you all know, this relicensing, once it goes into effect,
[02:47] will be in effect for potentially up to 50 years.
[02:52] So the outcome of this report and the license that may or may not be
[02:56] issues to GRDA is extremely important.
[03:00] to Miami. And this initial study report is really possibly one of our last opportunities
[03:07] to get our feedback on the record with FERC and with GRDA on any concerns that the city
[03:14] would have related to the license and potentially the raising of Grand Lake, which is part
[03:22] of the request that GRDA has made to raise the lake by an additional two feet. So part of the
[03:28] study that's being done is the economic impact that that would have on anyone up streams, specifically
[03:36] here in Ottawa County, and any infrastructure impact that that would have. So this has been really
[03:43] an extensive study on the hydrologic reports. And so again we've had some really great team
[03:51] members with DWT and making sure that we understand the studies, we understand the long-term
[03:57] impact and that we document those appropriately for FERC. So again this is one of additional
[04:07] bills to come as we've been working on this throughout the month of October. So this bill is actually
[04:15] for the end of September. It's on the council tonight for approval and again I don't think this
[04:23] is an opportunity where we'd be able to step away and not pay them for work that they were contracted
[04:29] to perform and have performed on our behalf.
[04:32] I'll vote in a second. Can I ask a question? Of course. Could we, at some point, once we kind
[05:08] of get through this response type period and whatever? Could we have some kind of a,
[05:18] oh, just an informational session with just a summary, maybe of an hour, hour and a half, two hours.
[05:24] It folks want to come and listen. I know we worry about stepping away from the citizens and
[05:33] stepping away from what we've taken on so many years ago and we also worry maybe the wrong
[05:45] word, but we kind of feel like we're darned if we do and darned if we don't. So I was wondering
[05:54] about, let's some citizens in this room and actually discuss it with them and try and garnish
[05:59] some feet.
[06:00] So that we don't maybe feel like we're on an island.
[06:06] I think the outcome once they finalize our response to this initial study report, I think that would be the perfect opportunity,
[06:17] which they're going to be wrapping that up here in November.
[06:20] So maybe around the first of December-ish somewhere there that would be a perfect time to pull everyone together and really kind of go through the concerns that have been outlined in that report.
[06:31] Cool.
[06:34] Hi.
[06:41] 10 of the new business of any of those residents that are posting of this agenda,
[06:50] 11 trustee community announcements, and 12 adjournment.
